Clive H Jones
Clive H Jones is a solo bass player/composer living on the East Coast of the UK.
Melodic, atmospheric and introspective, his musical style reflects influences from many genres over many years.
All of his songs are written and performed on four string electric bass guitar, showcasing the instrument's ability to deliver harmony and melody as well as the more usual low end support.
Prior to becoming a solo instrumentalist many years were spent in bands which included touring/recording both nationally and in Europe as well as many festival appearances and a BBC Radio 2 Maida Vale session. Shortlisted for Bassist of the Year 2019.

'Smoke and Mirrors' is the debut album from Clive H Jones and is a collection of ten original instrumental tracks written and performed on four string electric bass guitar. Some tracks are melancholy pieces with the bass being a purely solo instrument while other tracks use a looper and effects pedals to create wider soundscapes. Favouring songs over flashy soloing Jones still however uses various different playing techniques to achieve his unique sound, aided by the pure tone of a Rickenbacker bass.
